“Caring for Kids Radio” host David Martin chats with Janet Laughlin M.Ed., Infant/Child Development Specialist & Family Centered Feeding Program Coordinator for The Children's Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center.
We have become a society speeding through the pick-up window and living on fast food (or foods we can prepare fast!). In part one of a two-part series, David and Janet discuss how that lifestyle impacts a child’s diet, eating habits and behavior. Also discussed, eating as a “social” activity and the benefits of a “family table.” Janet also talks about how to introduce new (and healthy) foods to children.
